The European Kidney Patients Federation (EKPF) hosted its 2023 Annual Summit in the scenic city of Limassol, Cyprus, on October 19th. The event brought together representatives from patient associations spanning 17 European countries, healthcare professionals, dedicated collaborators, and distinguished officials from the Cypriot Ministry of Health.

This Summit was an opportunity for stakeholders to share their insights and innovative ideas, creating an atmosphere ripe for the exchange of knowledge and strategies. The EKPF’s commitment to improving kidney health across Europe was evident throughout the event.

On the day following the summit, EKPF convened its annual General Assembly on October 20th. This assembly served as a platform for delegates to engage in discussions covering a broad spectrum of topics and make pivotal decisions that will influence the organization’s activities in the coming year.

Deliberations at the assembly included discussions on patient advocacy, strategies to enhance healthcare access, and the importance of raising awareness about kidney health issues throughout Europe. The assembly demonstrated the dedication and determination of all those involved in EKPF’s mission.

As the curtains close on this year’s summit and assembly, the European Kidney Patients Federation continues its unwavering dedication to improving kidney health across Europe, confident that their collective efforts will leave a lasting, positive impact on countless lives.
