EKPF at the Global Value Access Policy Summit
Daniel Gallego, President of the European Kidney Patients Federation (EKPF), was invited to speak at the Global Value Access Policy Summit. Gallego participated in the PATIENT FOCUS session, emphasizing the importance of incorporating the patient perspective in CKD care. The summit aims to drive positive policy changes and improve healthcare outcomes by fostering dialogue and collaboration among stakeholders.
During the session named “Living well with CKD: patient and provider perspective”, Daniel participated as a spaker, alongside Liviu Constantinescu (FMC), Uta Fischer (CSL Vifor), and Despina Rüssmann (CSL Vifor). The summit provided a valuable opportunity for collaboration, learning from one another, and listening. In this way, Vifor had the chance to directly hear the patient journey in dialysis from renal patients. EKPF involvement highlights the importance of incorporating the patient’s voice and experiences in developing policies and practices that address the challenges faced by individuals with CKD.
