EKPF attends the IKCC Annual Summit 2025 in Madrid
This past weekend, the EKPF had the pleasure of attending the International Kidney Cancer Coalition (IKCC) Annual Summit, held in Madrid.
The theme for this year’s summit – Building Evidence-Based Advocacy Skills – brought together patient organizations, advocates, and healthcare professionals from around the world to share knowledge, tools, and best practices for strengthening patient advocacy in kidney care.
As an active member of the global kidney community, the EKPF values these opportunities to learn collaborate, and exchange ideas to ensure that patient voices continue to drive positive change in kidney care.
Throughout the summit, representatives from various organizations engaged in inspiring discussions on key topics, including:
- How to generate evidence to drive policy change
- The evolution of patient inclusion in healthcare over time
- Effective strategies for sharing data and research findings
- The latest advancements in kidney cancer treatment
These were just a few of the many insightful sessions that took place, sparking thought-provoking conversations and fostering new ideas for future advocacy efforts.
As an active member of the IKCC, the EKPF was also proud to participate in the General Assembly, contributing to the coalition’s growth and collective success. Through collaboration and the exchange of expertise, the EKPF remains committed to strengthening the voice of kidney patients and supporting advocacy efforts.
The EKPF looks forward to applying these learnings to its ongoing work and strengthening collaboration with international partners to improve the lives of kidney patients everywhere!
