EKPF Contributes the Patient Voice to the PERSONALISE-DKD Project
On June 11th, the EKPF had the pleasure of attending the official presentation of the PERSONALISE-DKD project in Bergamo, Italy. This innovative research initiative focuses on identifying early predictors of treatment response in people living with diabetic kidney disease (DKD), using advanced MRI biomarkers and exploring the effects of SGLT2 inhibitors on kidney health.
As project partners, the EKPF will contribute by ensuring that the perspective and real-life experiences of patients with DKD are included throughout the research process. We are grateful to all the project partners and especially to the coordinator, Dr. Anna Caroli, for the invitation and for recognizing the importance of patient involvement. We are confident that PERSONALISE-DKD will generate valuable insights to improve the care and quality of life of people affected by diabetic kidney disease across Europe.
