First In-Person IgAN Friends Meeting to Take Place in Brussels on 9 June 2026
The European Kidney Patients’ Federation (EKPF) is pleased to announce the first in-person meeting of the IgAN Friends community, which will take place on 9 June 2026 in Brussels, Belgium.
This half-day event (12:00–17:00) marks an important milestone for the IgAN Friends initiative, bringing together people living with IgA Nephropathy (IgAN) from across Europe for an afternoon of connection, learning, and collaboration.
A space created by and for patients
IgAN Friends was created to foster peer support, shared learning, and stronger patient involvement at European level. This first face-to-face meeting aims to:
-
Provide a safe and supportive environment for patients to connect and share experiences
-
Explore the patient journey and the burden of living with IgAN
-
Learn from experts about current developments in care and research
-
Discuss how patients can actively shape the future of the community
The meeting will be interactive and patient-centred, ensuring that participants have a meaningful opportunity to contribute their perspectives.
Who can participate?
The event is open to people living with IgA Nephropathy.
Please note:
-
Participants must be able to communicate in English, as the meeting will be conducted entirely in English.
-
Travel and accommodation costs (if needed) can be covered by EKPF to ensure participation is not limited by financial barriers.
