As a member of the European Kidney Health Alliance (EKHA), our president Daniel Gallego and our vice-president Emily Petrices, together Raymond Vanholder, president of the EKHA; participates in the meeting today with the Health Comissioner of the European Union Stela Kyriakides.
During the pleasant meeting, the Call to Action that the EKPF has endorsed was presented. The priorities defined in this statement are:
- Augment efforts on CKD preventi
- Collect and share data at EU level
- Promote home therapies & transplantation
- Foster research and innovation in Kidney Replacement Therapy
Stella Keryakides has agreed with the EKHA representatives to continue maintaining contact and to meet again soon to advance these demands.
