New Publication Highlights the Humanistic Burden of IgA Nephropathy
We are pleased to share the publication of a new study titled “The humanistic burden of immunoglobulin A nephropathy on patients and care-partners in the United States,” in which Daniel Gallego, President of the EKPF, has contributed as a co-author.
This cross-sectional survey explores the physical, mental, and emotional toll of IgA Nephropathy (IgAN) on both patients and their care partners. The findings highlight significantly reduced quality of life, increased levels of anxiety and depression, and substantial work productivity loss—underscoring the urgent need for effective treatments and greater support for those affected.
