New EKPF leaflet: “What being highly sensitised means for people with end-stage kidney disease”
We are pleased to present our new educational leaflet, “What being highly sensitised means for people with end-stage kidney disease: transplantation can be an option.”
This resource, developed by the European Kidney Patients’ Federation (EKPF) with the educational support of Hansa Biopharma, aims to provide clear and accessible information for patients and caregivers.
The leaflet explains what it means to be highly sensitised, why this can make finding a kidney donor more difficult, and what treatment options may help — such as desensitisation and delisting. It also includes practical questions that patients can discuss with their healthcare teams.
Our goal is to empower patients with knowledge and support their journey towards transplantation.
